The Ten Commandments
The story of the Ten Commandments, as recounted in Exodus 19–20, marks a pivotal moment in the biblical narrative. After leading the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses brings them to Mount Sinai, where God establishes a covenant with His people. This covenant outlines moral and spiritual guidelines that would govern their relationship with God and with one another. Written on the tablets of stone, God gave the Israelites the ten commandments.
